A museum since the 1970s, the Coggeshall Farm Museum is a restored 1790s salt marsh farm in Bristol, Rhode Island. The museum is an interactive experience, a functioning farm complete with reenactments. It boasts animals native to the farm's heyday, such as dunghill fowl (chickens of no particular breed), heritage breed black pigs, and Gulf Coast Native sheep. Outbuildings include a barn, a wood shop, a forge, and the Cheese House. Also onsite are gardens and orchards. Check the website for hours. The terrain at Coggeshall Farm is uneven and may prove inaccessible to many.

The Gardner Museum houses the collection of Isabella Stewart Gardner, a local patron of the arts who died in 1924, in a building she commissioned to look like a 15th century Venetian palazzo.
