Experience an Afro-Brazilian fusion of dance and martial arts. Watch and learn. Then, join in and play!

Mass Capoeira performances include live music and singing, explanations of basic movements, acrobatic solos, and a capoeira roda, where dancers demonstrate the complete experience of playing capoeira in a traditional circle. Performances may also include stories about capoeira history, maculelê (a warrior dance with sticks), and other Afro-Brazilian arts and music styles.

This program is funded in large part by the Easton Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. It is brought to you with support from the North Easton Savings Bank. It's perfect for families with children of all ages.

In the event of inclement weather, the performance will be held at Oakes Ames Hall, located next-door at 3 Barrows Street.
